My name is Anneliese Helmy and I am an Australian living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. After arriving in Cambodia my husband and I found that there was a great opportunity to start our own businesses.
My qualification is in fashion design and pattern making. I have worked as pattern maker in mainstream fashion since 1993 and in 2000 I switched to the bridal industry to learn the art of making couture gowns. I have always wanted to open my own wedding brand.
My first business was Anne Noelle Bridal but as I found I needed manufacturing it was a natural decision to open a sewing workshop as well that would be qualified to be able to make our wedding gowns. This is how Fairsew was born. Visit www.fairsew.com to find out more
Fairsew was based on the concept of having a smaller sewing workshop that was able to produce small quantities of high quality products but still adhered to ILO principles. We pay above minimum salaries to our staff and we offer subsidised health insurance and on job training for all aspects of our sewing.
How we work
Anne Noelle Bridal has a boutique in Phnom Penh where we offer ready to wear and made to measure gowns. The boutique provides an ideal setting for you to browse through the sample range and find your perfect dress. Our experienced staff will spend time with you to understand your needs and help you to select the dress of your dreams. Once you have selected your dress, we arrange a series of fittings to make the dress fit you perfectly.
We also offer custom designed dresses where you are looking for something specific and unique.
