Wedding Trends for 2015

Wedding Trends for 2015

This year it’s sheer – necklines, sleeves and backs!

Probably the most overwhelming trends from the 2015 bridal runway shows were the illusion and lace covered necklines. We also loved the resurgence of tulle in sheer skirt overlays and light fluffy skirts.

Gone are the strapless styles – say hello to off the shoulder styles that were soft and drapy and romantic. There were also plenty of gorgeous lace sleeves and delicate lace collars.

One interesting new trend was capes – both long and short but always sheer and beautifully draped and with pretty details like lace or fringing.

The silhouettes this season saw a return to the glamour days of the 1930’s with column and sheath dresses. Shoulders are a focal point and carried beaded embellishments while sleeves featured pleat details or were soft and flowing.

Many of the dresses we loved were in nature inspired non-traditional colours. Soft oyster greys, powdery blues and a hint of mint green.
